Exciting Printmaking News
(Via Bookslut):

Reuters is reporting that Gus Van Sant is in negotiations to direct Audrey Niffenegger's book, The Time Traveler's Wife. They describe it as "a loose retelling of 'The Odyssey'", for some reason. I hope Van Sant and screenplay adapter Jeremy Leven (last project -- gulp -- "The Notebook" -- memo to self: must get more insulin) have actually read it.

You recall I was terrified earlier this year when Jen and Brad broke up that the project would fall apart, since they'd bought the film rights. Hmmm.... they could still star in the movie, I suppose, since Henry and Clare actually spend most of the book apart....

Anyway, read the book, not just because Audrey is a really good printmaker. She's also a really good writer. And not just because I want to beef up the Amazon referrals either.

Good morning, folks. Have done my preliminary sweep of the internet, and so now it's time to paint. Am out of half-and-half, and the first pot of coffee rendered weak, so am just a tad grouchy. Blogger ate the first version of this post, but this one is much better. Will send it off now.
