Just Make It All Go Away
Do they think we're not paying attention?

House to Vote on Stripping Federal Courts of Jurisdiction Over Gay Marriage
WASHINGTON (AP) - Continuing Republicans' election-year focus [ed. more like weird, sick obsession] on gay marriage, the House is considering legislation to keep federal courts from ordering states to recognize same-sex unions sanctioned outside their borders.

"This bill is really a reaffirmation of states' rights [ed. keep it up folks... keep using that inflamatory language]," said Rep. David Dreier, R-Calif., chairman of the House Rules Committee.
...
Democratic opponents said the GOP is pushing ahead with an unconstitutional bill to appeal to socially conservative voters who are a key Republican constituency.

"That's what this is really all about, working their base to a frenzy for the election," Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., said.
...
"Today, it's gay marriage. Tomorrow, it could be something else. It's very dangerous for any Congress to move down this road," Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., a civil rights leader, said.
So now they're trying to legislate the courts with their evil message. I am so very, very tired of trying to keep on top of all this. And this congress has got to go. Send the DCCC some financial love, please. There are good guys running who need your help. Honestly, there really are.

My, but this has been a blogalicious day. I blog, therefore I am.
