I know one person who won't be leaving a comment -- his Republican opponent -- 'cause there ain't one yet. This is the most bizarre situation I've ever heard of. Apparently Jack Ryan (the one taking wife Jeri to sex-clubs) can't figure out how to resign from the campaign, even though any number of people have been volunteering to help him. And the list (not even starting with coach Mike Ditka -- that was last week's news, and practically forgotten already) of candidates slithering away is growing. All the Illinois bloggers are weighing in on this topic, most in hilarous fashion. So go pop a few links on the side and have some fun.

Eventually they will have to dig someone up, won't they? Dig.... hmmm.... sorry.... Jim Thompson is still alive, very much so apparently, though not taking calls from Ms. Topinka for some reason.
