Yesterday Morning
Here's the painting from yesterday morning. I don't understand how it can look so misty and yet be so dry. The sun coming through the getting-orange leaves makes everything golden, however, instead of bluely pastel, as in a previous humid painting.

Here's a link to a painting I did earlier, where the humidity plus pale light made everything glow in a different way.

Good morning, my friends. Since Monday I've been wallowing in magnificent Wi-Fi reception, generally 5.5 mbps, often soaring up to 18 mbps, occasionally to 24. As always, I don't know why or where it's coming from. So have been downloading mp3s, watching Comedy Central clips and C-Span like crazy, and ignoring you.

Have been patiently waiting for the proverbial rainy day to do major reconstruction on the blog, but I don't think it's ever going to rain again in the midwest, since you folks in Florida have stolen it all. Am sure, being republican, it's going to wait until election day, when all the red states will experience pleasant temperatures, 72 degrees and clear, while we'll be (as usual) 42 and raining, chance of sleet or snow mixed with rain and strong winds.

But we're not thinking about it just yet. Back again soon.
