What Could They Be Thinking?
I'm talking about the 36 percent who apparently approve of the job that George II is doing. What, exactly, do they approve of? Torture? Death and destruction? An obsession with fawning women (Harry, Condi, Karen, but not mommy, apparently)? What? What could it be? I think the hold-outs are just lying to the pollsters out of some twisted patriotic thinking that "you don't dis a president while you're at war." That's the kind of thinking that will keep us at war, dummies.
Autumn of Discontent - Newsweek Politics - MSNBC.com
Only 36 percent of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president, and an astounding 68 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the direction of the country—the highest in Bush’s presidency. But that’s not the worst of it for the 43rd president of the United States, a leader who rode comfortably to reelection just a year ago. Half of all Americans now believe he’s not “honest and ethical.”Article has box at the side to let you vote now for a Democrat or someone else for congress. Since we have THREE MORE YEARS with the lying sack of shit at the top of the dung heap that is currently our government, it is satisfying to note that 80 percent right now (with 23513 responses recorded) would choose a Democrat, 16 percent a liar, and a befuddled 4 percent "not sure." As an aside, have never understood why those who answer in this category even bother to record their uncertainty.
A handy link on the side points to the unbelievable poll published September 22, 2001. The comparison is astounding. (Full disclosure: I hated the SOB back then just as much as I do now, one of the 2 people in the country apparently who did).
Good evening, folks. Time to kick him while he's down, and keep kicking until he gets up and acts like a real president. Disgusted at his recent lying speech where he claimed that everyone had the same knowledge that he did, and everyone loved the war back then, so WTF are the unpatriotic bastards complaining about now. Will not link to it, since just reading a few words of it boils the blood.
Ah, but it's Saturday night.
If you're looking for something to do, go spend some money on cheap (under 300 bucks) art at Lisa Boyle's Cash 'n' Carry show, this weekend only. Likely to be lots of good stuff.
Or you could buy even cheaper art from me.... studio sale coming SOON, I promise!
