Now I'm Too Scared To Shop
Consumer Spending Plunged in June:
WASHINGTON (AP) - Consumers slashed their spending in June by the largest amount in three years as high energy prices took a toll on their wallets and made them more cautious buyers.
"These are sour numbers. There is no sugar coating that," lamented economist Ken Mayland, president of ClearView Economics. "Consumers were confronted with a whole range of high prices, including energy, and they balked."
Will July and August be any better? I'm too scared by all these terrorists to leave the house and go shopping, even if I could afford to fill the tank of my H2 to go do it.

Good morning, folks. Have been up and about the internet for hours now, trying to find some ray of hope for our world, and other than Kerry and Edwards pushing onward, there is none.
