You've GOT To Be Kidding
Saudis Use 9-11 Commission Report in U.S. Ad Campaign
The ads don't address commission criticism of Saudi Arabia, which the report called "a problematic ally in combating Islamic extremism." It said Saudi-funded Islamic schools have been exploited by extremists and, while Saudi cooperation against terrorism improved after the Sept. 11 attacks, "significant problems remained."

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Osama bin Laden and 15 of the 19 hijackers. A congressional inquiry into the attacks triggered questions about whether the Saudi royal family had provided money to the hijackers.
...
Al-Jubeir declined to say how much the campaign will cost. The ads started running Friday and will continue until Sept. 6. He said the kingdom doesn't plan to run the spots during the Republican National Convention so they don't appear political.
Ha ha ha ha ha....

Good evening my friends, and welcome random blog-hoppers.

Blogger has a few new features (as usual, not actually telling us about them in advance, however...), so you can now search this blog to your heart's content for sweaters, candidates, art, and all the juicy bloggings since February. And then hop away to one of my recommended links, or try a new one with "next blog."

I'll fix the spacing at the top of the page eventually. They've been tinkering with this feature all afternoon, but actually replied to my email when I feared that I'd picked up a virus that was spoofing Google/Blogger.

Anyway... you better like this feature because we can't get rid of it, apparently, but at least the lame ads are gone.

More later after I try to fix some things.
