Two Down
Bush Campaign Lawyer Quits Over Ties to Ads Group
Benjamin Ginsberg was the second person to quit the Bush campaign over ties to the group, called Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that has been attacking Kerry's record through television commercials and a book.
In this cycle alone he's given $10,500 to Republican candidates or groups -- Lisa Murkowski, Mel Martinez, Rob Portman, Mike Ferguson, GWB, and America's Foundation. (see Open Secrets). And in 2000 - 2002 cycles he gave a total of $13,750, including throwing $500 toward Katharine Harris of Florida Recount fame. It's also interesting that he calls himself a lobbyist on 3/31/2000.

Who or what is America's Foundation, you ask? Perhaps one of those mysterious, shadowy 527s like the Swift Boat Liars? A PAC with total receipts of $2,165,525 that has given money to 27 Republican House and Senate races (and of course $5,000 for GWB), according to the Campaign Finance site?

Well, you get the idea.
