Same Old Same Old
Even Yahoo TV Listings thinks so.
Good afternoon, friends. Nothing much going on here, still. Trying to get it together for a few shows etc., but am apparently still going through it, the feeling of why bother, I have nothing new to say that hasn't been said, what does saying mean anyway, why does it bother me that I have nothing to say when it doesn't seem to bother anyone else, does this mean I'm nuts, and so on. You get the picture.
People of Illinois, you may have tuned out so much that you may not realize there's a primary coming up on Super Tuesday (Feb. 5th). You may think that it's a slam-dunk for Obama, so why even go out and vote. You would be wrong. There are plenty of other races out there, in particular the congressional district primaries which are quite interesting. Don't take my word on it. They are being covered fairly well over at some of the links on the side.
Yes, we must get Dan Biss in the statehouse. I have no idea who he's running against for the primary, but his Republican opponent come fall will be brutal, since she's viewed as a moderate but is not, just like Mark Kirk in the 10th is viewed as one, although he votes with Bush and the remainder of the GOP's congressional flunkies a good 90 percent of the time on things that matter. Luckily, Dan Seals, a glutton for punishment if ever there was one, will be stepping up again. Make sure he gets the opportunity by voting for him in the primary.
I have no idea whether Larry Suffredin would be good for Cook County States Attorney, but he's been a supporter of all things Democratic and Progressive for many many years, and is a neighbor. I'm inclined to vote for him even though he hasn't come up through the prosecution line. To be honest, I've tried tuning the entire primary season out.
If I can get my shit together, maybe I'll go and print.
