Art Update
Post was all ready, but Blogger ate it, so will try to recreate its brilliance.

First, Dan at Iconoduel has tons more on the Art Chicago/Navy Pier business. No word on the Stray Show, however. Looked at the fairs the new owner, Pfingsten Publishing, runs now and they look, ahem, somewhat provincial, to be snobby about it.

The rumor is true: Julia Friedman is moving to New York -- bad for Chicago, but good for her artists. My favorite has been Katy Fischer and her ball point pen drawings.

And the other rumor is true: gescheidle will be moving from River North to West Loop Gate, 118 N. Peoria, 4th floor in October. I'd heard that Susan's rent had doubled (or tripled) so was effectively forced to move. This is a good thing, though, since she'd clearly outgrown the old cramped space in the cellar on Superior.

That's about all I got right now. Will be investigating new links found on Dan's site and report back in days to come. It's a very good art blog, and tons of links. Check it out.
